1958 born in San Juan Puerto Rico. Presently working and living in San Juan.

.about the Artist
Working as both a painter and sculptor my work has evolved in an ongoing personal battle between abstraction and figuration. The figurative work has focused mostly on commentary concerning social issues. While my abstract work has developed into a complex visual language full of gesture, color and movement.

.education and biography
Obtained a BA from DePauw Univ. in 1980. Work has been exhibited in Puerto Rico, U.S. and abroad. Highlight exhibitions include "New Art from Puerto Rico" organized by the Museum of Springfield and traveling through U.S. from 1990-92. Yslas: Art in Transit, Hostos Art Gallery, Bronx, New York in 1995. The Art Exchange Show / Anne Plumb Gallery, New York, New York in 1996. Contexto puertorriqueño: del Rococó Colonial al Arte Global, Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico in 2007.
